  1. Gallium is a metal, one of the few that is liquid at or near room
  2. temperature. It is used with the semiconductor arsenic in the
  3. manufacture of high speed electronic circuits, and light emitting
  4. diodes. Gallium is obtained as a by-product of aluminum refining.
